2. Booking Conditions
A 50% non refundable deposit of the full price is required within two weeks from the date when the payment link is sent to the participant.
A booking becomes binding upon the receipt of the deposit
Your residency booking is secure, until the balance due date, upon payment of a non-refundable deposit. The balance is due on the date of your arrival.
If you have any problems with completing the payment by the date specified please make arrangements with us prior to the balance due date as soon as possible in order to ensure that your place is held.
Family and friends are not permitted to accompany attendees during the residency unless they have registered to attend also.
Accessibility and Special Needs
We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all residents. If you have a disability or special need, please let us know at the time of booking so that we can make appropriate arrangements to support you. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and your advance notice will enable us to better meet your requirements and support you to have a smooth experience.

2.2 Payment Terms
Payments are required in advance and upon arrival.
Secure payment services are provided by third-party provider Assoconnect
Maison Les Buis is not responsible for payment provider failures or interruptions
We cannot accept credit/debit card details over the phone or by e-mail as this is not a secure payment method.
2.3 Cancellation
We wish we could compensate people encountering unforeseen circumstances (injury, illness, family emergency, etc.). However, as this is a small assocation we regret that we are not able to underwrite these kinds of costs. If you arrive late, leave early or cannot attend or complete the residency, we do not offer credits or refunds. We strongly recommend that you take out your own insurance in case of cancellation to cover travel, accommodation and such expenses outside of the residency itself.
Maison Les Buis reserves the right to cancel a residency for reasons which are beyond our control. However, if an unforeseen cancellation is required, the residents fee will be refunded in full. Every endeavour will be made to inform you of this at least one week prior to the residency. Maison Les Buis can accept no further liability for resident cancellations beyond the refund.
Maison Les Buis can accept no responsibility for accidents or loss experienced by attendees during their residency, although all reasonable efforts are made to ensure safety and enjoyment throughout.
3. Insurance
You should arrange insurance to cover medical and personal accident risks before and during the residency. This should include coverage for activities, cancellations, curtailments and repatriation costs. If an emergency medical rescue or repatriation is required, the costs will be your responsibility. Luggage and personal items are your own risk, and we are not liable for any loss or damage.
4. Images
We may take photographs, videos, and recordings during your residency, which could be used on our website or shared on social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube. Your identity will not be disclosed in any published material. Any material shared is used to support the development of the association and to communicate more widely about our work in providing space for artists to live and create. By booking a residency, you are understood to give consent to the possible use of your image or recorded presence in this way. If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please let us know in advance so we can ensure your wishes are respected.
5. House Rules
Residents agree to:
Respect the property, the directors, and other residents
Follow safety instructions and house rules provided on site
Be liable for damages caused during their stay
Maison Les Buis reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a stay in case of serious misconduct.
6. Code of Conduct
Maison Les Buis is recreational-drug-free. Excess or inappropriate use of alcohol is also not allowed.
The directors reserve the right to ask a resident to leave if they feel the attendee poses a risk to him/herself or other attendees.
7. Medical Conditions
If you have an illness or medical condition that may impact your residency experience, please inform us at the time of booking or before travel, if the condition developed after booking. Please also tell us about any special dietary requirements when you book.
If you have any pre-existing medical or psychological conditions, you may wish to consult a doctor or mental health professional before to ensure that a rural residency and length of stay are right for you.
Any additional activities that are offered during a residency including, but not limited to, yoga sessions, cycling etc. are taken at the resident’s own risk. By joining, residents agree to fully release and hold Maison Les Buis harmless from any claims or liabilities arising from participation in residency experiences.
While our residencies include low-impact activities, a risk of injury is still possible. Residents should be aware of their personal limits and participate only if they have no medical conditions that could impact their safe involvement.
8. Refusal of Participation
We also reserve the right to pre-emptively refuse admission to an attendee if we believe they may be in breach of any of residents terms and conditions.
If an attendee has already booked a residency or event and we believe their attendance may not be beneficial for the residency or event as a whole or themselves or other attendees, or we feel they may be likely to breach one of residents terms and conditions, we reserve the sole right to terminate their participation, in which case we will refund them their payment in full; however, we cannot be held responsible for any additional costs incurred such as transportation or accommodation costs they may have already incurred
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Website (texts, photographs, logos, videos, design, and layout) is the exclusive property of Maison Les Buis unless otherwise stated.
Any reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without prior written authorisation is strictly prohibited.
10. Personal Data & GDPR
Personal data collected via the Website (contact forms, reservations, cookies) is processed in accordance with:
